Classical Pilates Teacher Training with Mariska Breland

Fuse Pilates Mat Side Bend

Have you thought of becoming a Pilates mat teacher or felt the desire to deepen your own practice by learning more about the principles behind the Pilates method?

While you may know that we teach a contemporary style of Pilates at Fuse, you may not know that we consider a solid understanding of the classical Pilates mat work to be the best foundation for a rewarding personal practice and fulfilling teaching experience.

The Classical Pilates Mat program will be led by Mariska Breland, who in addition to being the founder of Fuse, also has more than 15 years of experience teaching and practice as a student of classical Pilates from some of the most renowned teachers in the world. She is a visiting instructor on the popular website Pilates Anytime, teaches workshops on neuroscience and exercise and Pilates for neurological conditions, and she prides herself on her deep knowledge and appreciation of the role classical Pilates plays in fitness as it has evolved today. Her classical Pilates training includes work with second generation Pilates master instructors, including Jennifer Kries, Andrea Maida, Chris Robinson, and Lesa McLaughlin, who all trained directly with Joseph Pilates’ protege Romana Kryzanowska.

The program will be held over the course of three weekends and will include history, theory, and hands-on and interactive instruction and practice. Participants who pass the written exam and practical will earn a Certificate of Classical Pilates Mat Training.

If you’re ready to delve deep to learn the principles behind the Pilates method, why it works, and where it came from, and how it can help you improve your wellbeing and maybe even find a fulfilling career or fun and meaningful side gig, then we invite you to join us for this special program!
