Meet Your Master Trainer
Fernanda Grove (Fay) was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, during a trip to NY to visit a friend Fay served as the body for her friend’s teaching hours for Pilates’ certification. Back in Brazil she was advised by her physical therapist to practice Pilates. She fell in love with the method right away. She enjoyed the combination of balance, strength and body awareness that Pilates brought to her and was surprised by how challenging and fulfilling the sessions could be. When she moved to the US in 2004 she continued taking Pilates lessons regularly. After careful consideration she decided to make Pilates her career. Prior to that, she worked in Marketing and business management.

Who is Instructor Training good for?
In short, everyone! If you’ve taken Pilates classes and loved the workout, if it’s made you feel good, if you've brought friends to class, then Instructor Training is good for you! If you’ve enjoyed the rehabilitative powers of Pilates, if you’ve seen a difference in yourself, if you love your own Pilates Instructor - then Instructor Training is for you!
Can I take individual modules or do I need to commit to the whole course?
Yes and no. Since Balanced Body courses are structured in an educational hierarchy, some of the modules have pre-requisite requirements. For example, you must take Reformer I before taking Reformer II. However, introductory courses, Anatomy in 3 Dimensions™, Mat I, and Reformer I can be taken as individuals and preparatory courses to the intermediate and advanced work.
